West Pelzer Fire / Rescue

The West Pelzer FD is comprised of all VOLUNTEERS with the support of their families and citizens on a daily basis.  The Department currently serves it’s citizens with 24hr protection that consists of Fire and Rescue Operations.  The MAJORITY of funding that keeps the Department afloat is provided by the Citizens of the Community.  With out your DONATIONS, the Department could not exists.

The WPFD was the 6th Station established in 1963 that has grown over the years to a 27 Station County Fire System located in Anderson County, SC.

The area covered by the Department is approximately 21 square miles with a class 5/9 ISO rating.

The Department’s fleet of apparatus consist of 3 Engines, 1 Tanker, and 1 Grass Unit.  Two of the Engines are provided by Anderson County Fire Department.  The rest of the fleet was purchased with donations by it’s citizens of the community.  The Department is responsible for the up keep of the rest of the apparatus.  And any new apparatus/equipment that is purchased in the future.
